ABOUT ME.
Marcus has worked in a variety of capacities with public, private,
and nonprofit organizations conducting communications, public outreach and initiative management. He started his career working with a prominent consultant, supporting 15+ legislative clients by conducting initiative research, campaign and elections consulting, and campaign finance and budgeting. He has supported and managed multiple initiatives on the state and local level. His knowledge of public engagement techniques, strategies, and software platforms is well versed. He still engages as a consultant to the statewide nonprofit the California Emerging Technology Fund, where he creates and implements public polling strategies on the efficacy of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) which is administered by the Federal Communications Commission. Previously he was a Special Assistant to the California State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Before coming to Mozaic, he was a Project Manager with a boutique public relations firm and oversaw new business acqusition, media management, communication audits and social media strategy for several government clients including: Placer County Water Agency, Association of California Water Agencies and the City of Sacramento Community Development Department and Department of Utilities.
