JAMES IRVINE FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP AWARDS

CASE
STUDY
.

Context:

Mozaic serves as the lead communications agency for the Leadership Awards held by The James Irvine Foundation, a private, independent foundation that provided $128.9 million in grants in 2021 to organizations in California. The Foundation Leadership Awards recognize leaders whose innovative solutions to critical state challenges improve people’s lives,

create opportunity, and contribute to a better California. The Foundation spotlights these leaders, helps share their approaches with policymakers and peers, and provides each of their organizations with a grant of $250,000 and additional resources.

Approach:

Mozaic’s role was to provide communications strategy, public relations, earned media,

ad buying, writing, press event/conference support and other communications services to help identify the most compelling stories and media angles of the award winners and help them secure impact coverage.

Outcome:

Throughout our work with the Foundation, our team has secured several dozen media hits,

in both mainstream and ethnic media publications.
