COLLEGE CORPS

CASE
STUDY
.

Context:

The California College Corps, a direct initiative of Governor Gavin Newsom administered through California Volunteers, is a first of its kind effort launched in partnership with 48 California colleges and universities (community college, public, and private). While students at all participating campuses can certainly apply, our work is predominantly focused on reaching students from the state’s most underrepresented communities. We are especially proud of the work we have done to connect with AB 540 CA Dream Act Students, who for the first time are being included in a state service program.

Approach:

For this engagement Mozaic serves as the prime contractor, managing a team of senior level consultants charged with planning and executing a statewide marketing and communications plan that includes: 1) producing compelling creative assets to drive our digital, traditional, and ethnic media marketing efforts; 2) provide strategic earned media support to California Volunteers; 3) orchestrate on-campus student/community outreach events; 4) carrying out formative to research to enhance marketing efforts.

Outcome:

Since the start of this project, Mozaic is proud of its work, which has resulted in more than 18,467 California college students applying to participate in the College Corps program.
